RB Advisory believes the web should work for everyone. We've built this site to be usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, reduced motion, and low-vision settings, and we treat accessibility as part of quality, not an afterthought. This page says what we aim for, what we test, what we know falls short, and how to reach us.
Our conformance target
This site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the current W3C recommendation.
What we test, and how
A set of automated checks runs against every page of this site before each release, alongside manual checks in a browser. As of the date above:
- Color contrast. Every text style on every page is measured against the WCAG AA contrast ratios. Where a color sits on a translucent surface, the check measures the color actually rendered, not the nominal value. The most recent run reported no failures.
- Keyboard access. Menus, the cookie notice, tabs, accordions, the consultation form and the interactive service map on the homepage are checked for keyboard operation, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element and a skip-to-content link on every page.
- Motion. Animations respect the system reduced-motion preference. With it on, count-ups, reveals and pulses stop.
- Structure. Pages use landmarks and descriptive link text, and every image carries an alt attribute. Heading order is checked on every page we author.
- Layout. Every page is checked at phone, tablet and desktop widths for content that is cut off, overlaps, or hides behind the fixed menu.
- Audit scores. Lighthouse accessibility audits score 100 on the homepage, About and Consultation pages and 98 on articles in our most recent audit (September 2026).
Tested environments
Automated checks run in Chromium on Windows at phone, tablet and desktop viewport widths. Manual keyboard checks are made in Chrome. We have not yet completed screen-reader testing with NVDA or VoiceOver; it is scheduled before launch, and this page will be updated with the results.
Known limitations
- The service map on the homepage. It is drawn as an interactive diagram. Its sectors, pillars and focus areas are buttons and can be reached and operated with the keyboard; the connecting lines and glow are decorative. The same information is available as a plain list directly beneath the map, under “Prefer a list?”.
- Imported articles. Some articles in Insights were imported from our previous website. A few carry heading levels that skip, and their images may lack detailed descriptions. We are correcting these as we review them.
- Other sites. The social platforms we link to are outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
